2v schooling

sup guys iam a 19 year old who been around mustangs since i was 8 years old my older brother had couple of a strong foxes but im just starting out i have a 90 lx but i planing on getting a 2v very soon.Anyway my girl has a 04 gt bassani x and cai and i ran it today 9.97 @ 73 mph and my 60 ft was like 2.428 or something for my first time racing did i do a good job? any tips on how to race?

No offense, but that is not a good time. You had a terrible 60". Dont just floor it off the line. Try to keep traction.

Auto or teh stick?

its a 5 speed I had the stock 17s on it and it was my first time racing but even I know not to dump it off the line with street tires.And the car has a stock gear only thing is done is the mid pipe on back.I will be installing 4.10s soon and tires.Oh yea I went back I ran a 9.80 still a bad 60 ft but it came from driving different but I will update the times.
