Anyone know the correct number for rear end 3.55, 3.73, etc. for auto trans in 2009 GT. I am trying one (with only 12K miles) from the dealer and having a little troulble locating info and especially production numbers. Thanks.

Agreed, 3.31 is standard ratio for almost all 2009's. When I was researching my car back in '09 before my purchase, the Ford "Build your car" app on their website started at 3.31 ratio for all base and GT models I tried (and I think I tried them all ), the 3.55 was optional on some models, and 3.73 was standard on the Bullitt, optional on some other models.

3.31

Thanks to all. I did find something that said the trans was 44L 5R55S meaning 5 speed auto trans. I can't find the 44L anywhere on the window sticker I have been able to print with a link given to me in a forum. My widnow sticker simply says "5-speed auto transmission $645."

For a 2008, the only gears you could get for an auto were 3.31s. A manual did have an option for 3.55s. I would presume that Ford did not change things in 2009.
