hello all, i don't really know much and i was wondering if you could put some 3.55 gears off of an 89 mustang gt onto a 66 mustang with a 4 speed. the reason i ask is because i found some cheap from a neighbor and i wouldn't mind upgrading. thanks to any and all replies in advance.

nope - the gears arent designed for your rearend

although, you could probably put a new rearend in it - although it would be some fabrication and probably not worth it in general

No. 8.8 and your 8" differential are completely different designs (integral carrier v. removable), besides the ring gear diameter.
