I really wanted a six speed but the money flow isn't good enough right now. If I do end up changin gears it won't be for a couple months though since I still got my turbocoupe.

all stangs will drone at 1800-2k

the only mufflers that literally almost dont drone (they all do somewhat) are glasspack race mufflers like magnapacks and dynomax race bullets

you are asking for it on the highway.

I have gotten over 360 miles on a tank of gas with my 3.73s

try tuning and setting up your car instead of giving up performance

and for anyone that thinks turning 2500 is high on the interstate... have you ever driven any other car other than a muctang, save for a pickup truck everything is going to turn at least that for the most part.

Yea, most cars run at least 3k on the highways. 2300 really is barely chugging along, especially since cruising down the highway, the engine is only making maybe 5% of the HP it's capable of, meaning very little strain on the motor.

stock exhaust systems should not drone, and it is partially due to offset mufflers and slightly different sized chambers.

how about a tremec with the lower 5th ratio? not near the t56 cost. you can get one used for 700 or so.

Hmmm. I might just keep the 3:73's since and just start saving for a t56. Ive always wanted a six speed anyways.
And yes I have driven other cars my turbocoupe has 3.73s and runs about the same and my cougar has a c4 and also runs around the same rpm's

A t-56 doesnt drop cruising speeds much more, if any more, than a regular 5-speed like a tremec with a .62 5th gear or a g-force with a .59 i think.

Its cool to have a 6-speed but be sure you drive a car with that tranny as i have heard mixed reviews on it. I still think the new tremecs are the best for the money. The 500-600 series that is.
