Here are the RPM's at 70 and then 80 MPH in 5th gear.

Something I couldn't do before, a result of 3.73 gears (1st & 2nd gear):

I could never do that stock. 2nd gear would give me a chirp only.

how to burn the hell out of 2nd gear 101:

method one:
launch hard in first
wind up first
keep foot in gas, kick clutch, grab 2nd
burn 2nd gear

method 2:
from a stop, rev and dump clutch
pedal gas and hold brake
releace brake, continue burning first
grab 2nd quick and hard
wheels will spin more and longer

Great vid, glad someone finally took a vid of 3.73s....this should proabaly be a sticky too, especially if you go take some vids of you beating on the car. Anyways, about the rubber, err did you go from a stop or was that from a rolling puch in 1st then 2nd? I know with my stock 3.27 gears, before the plenum and chip and CB, and 285s I went out onto the highway, stopped and reved to 3K. Dumped the clutch, layed 12 ft of rubber in 1st then as the RPMs flew to around 5800 (still spinning, but the RPMs went over so fast all I got in 1st was that 12 ft) I shifted into 2nd (no powershift, and you could see about a 3ft space where the tires stopped laying rubber/spinning) then to my surprise the car carried over in 2nd gear over to 5800RPMs, so I backed off to 5500 then nailed it back in once the rpms started falling, went back over to about 6K then finally came out of it at around 55MPH and darn near the end of 2nd...fishtailing too LOL, TRYING to keep it staright....went back later that day, walked it off and I wound up laying OVER 190 FT IN 2ND GEAR ALONE ON DRY PAVEMENT.

I'm cruising at 3k RPM @ 60 MPH in 4th and 5th drops it to about 1500-1700.

Also, the marks were done by dumping the clutch at about 2500 or 3000. I didn't brake at all and they were spinning so fast that 6000 RPM came faster than I thought so I shifted to 2nd.

I'll try to get some more vids hopefully tomorrow. Friday (today) is my last day of driving the stang prior to me going to Iraq. I will miss it.

Here's a chart. Up to 60 MPH the numbers are accurate but above that they seem to become inaccurate (probably wrong calculation on my part or lack of drag coefficients)
