this isnt a thread on which is better, but more, who has what?
As in, a number of people with each.

I bought my car under the assumption it had 3.73's, but after a few freeway trips i quickly realized that i was turning more rpm's at any given speed compared to my sn95 with 3.73's.

I will say, with my 4.10's i need some stickier rubber out back. 1st and second gear are way to easy to haze the tires

94-95 Mustang Cobra310 3.35 1.99 1.33 1.00 0.68

i stand corrected. thanks, i could of swore that they were different. learn something new each day! best way to check your gears is to just pop the cover of and rotate the wheel till the 3.73 or 4.10 shows on the gear.

I have 3.73`s and with the AOD I have I would run out of rpm with anymore gear.

But if I had a 5sp car I would go to 4.30`s and skip the 4.10`s and use 27" or 28" tire.

Easy way to be sure. Jack up the rear and spin the wheel one full rotation. Count how many times the driveshaft spins. If it's a little over 4 times then its 4.10s. If it spins about 3 and 3/4s then it's 3.73s and so on.

To answer your question, I have 4.10s

Oh its not that bad. If it makes you feel better 5-speed are only fun shifting from 1st to 2nd. right?

I actually liked driving my 3.55's best, but I have 3.73's. Never needed to imitate John Force enough to warrant 4.10's, they would smoke or rev way too fast, I would think.

If it's your daily driver, get 3.73's. I got 3.27's with my aod from factory and it's quite an improvement from what I heard about the standard 2.73 geared AOD's. The transgo recommends 2.73 to 3.55's for their shift kits. So I have the perfect gear for that shift kit.

I left at almost 5k on a weird concrete bridge, it had little ridges in it. but this was last night and it popped my hatch open i left so damn hard lol guess its time for subframes. I already had to beat on my torque boxes and do some welding because of this haha.
