Hi I installed a 97 3.8 into a 95 mustang. Iam not getting any spark, what parts do I have to change to make work.I changed the cam sensor to the 95 what engine do i sync it too.Any help would be great.
As I understand, you have to make sure the cam sensor has been aligned when installing. It's like the 5.0 distributors - if the computer does not know when the valves are opening and closing, it won't fire up.
Did you re-use all the 95's wiring harnesses? Or did you use some of the 97's? Are you using the 95 computer or the 97?
Also be aware that we are more familiar with the 5.0 V8 engines here - very few of us know anything about the 3.8 V6. However, I know the V6 forum is usually no help at all so I'm willing to try.
