Is anyone running the Taurus fan and the DCC controller, specifically the FK-35?? Is the FK-35 enough to control it or do I need the the FK-60?

The FK-60 is for the Mark VIII fan.

ok, so I ordered the FK-35 and I was wondering something...
The Taurus fan is a 2 speed fan (low/high) will the DCC control both speeds? I was looking at the diagram that they have on their website, and it only shows 1 terminal for a negative side to fan and 1 positive side to fan. My fan is a 3 wire. Any clue on how I am supposed to wire it up? Also, will I be able to control or set the temperature I want?

You wire it up to the high side(Power) and ground and leave the low side disconnected. You will still be able to set the temp where you want it.

BTW: I have a Brand New (FK-35) with the LED kit (L-101) and filtered surge protector (1.5-KS) that I need to sell if anyone is interested. It has never been installed.

ok, so I installed the DCC and it will not keep my car cool at all. The module is sending full 35 amps to the fan and its not enough amps to activate the high fan speed. being that it keeps the module sending full 35 amps, it gets hot and shuts off for a while while it cools down, while the module cools down, my car overheats... guess I need to run the FK-60 now... this sucks, Taurus fans really suck some serious amps

I would get ahold of Mr. Baskin - He is very good at helping people resolve issues.

Kevin, how did you end up with an extra unit? Was it gonna go on the fox (before you had to sell it)?

the controler isn't supposed to kick in the high speed part of the fan. if your fan has three wires on it, use the ones on the outside, and leave the middle one unhooked.

I contacted Brian and he instructed me on how to wire it up. I had the slow fan wired instead of the high fan. Quick response, by email no less. Now it works great. cant even feel the fan turn on/off

Whahoo, Kev might unload the controller. If I could afford one (which I cant), I would definately take it off your hands.

Thanks JT. Others one here would as well. At least it would save then the wait.

Actually a friend of mine from Florida called me and said he would take it.
He is getting ready to put a new engine in and needs one. Heres a picture of his engine.
