Hey I've had my 1994 V6 for a while now and for the past year or so its just been sitting in my parking lot. With over 120k miles and a blown hea gasket, I figure its time to get a V8.

So while I'm searching for a junkyard 351W, I'm also doing research on what I need... so I got my list going, if anyone can help please add to the list anything else I would need/change.

This list is for just the engine swap, I will work on most of the suspension, etc. after I get the engine in there.

-351W engine
-Intake (off 5.0 SN95???)
-Motor mounts w/ 3/4" drop
-Cowled hood
-7qt oil pan
-Flywheel
-Clutch
-Damper
-High flow Fuel Pump
-MAC 351 ST Headers
-Aftermarket 5.0 exhaust assembly (H-pipe and Catback)
-Power steering and A/C brackets
-Power steering assy. (out of a 5.0???)
-Computer (out of a 5.0????)
-Harness
-8.8 rear

I believe the tranny on the V6 will work, but if I can find a TREMEC for a good price I'll upgrade to that.

Anything I'm missing?

Also, what cars/trucks should I look for that had an EFI 351W?

Thanks

I think you may be posting in the wrong forum. You may want to find a forum that is more knowledged on that kind of engine setup. There are plenty here who will offer their opinions on parts that will not hold up to those standards, but for more specifics, I would try elsewhere. Just my personal opinion. Good luck with the whole thing!

Hey, I have 1994 v6 and just got swapped to a 302. I am picking it up tomorrow. Be aware that there maybe alot of custom working and fabricating. The biggest problem was finding a wiring harness and not paying throught the a!! for it. Priced one out from ford and they wanted 2600CND for it. Best bet is to contact a good forum or you can try wms racing (www.wmsracing.com) or the Mustang Shop. (www.themustangshop.ca) both comapnies are out of Calgary, AB Canada.

Some posts I did before I switched

Good luck with the swap and research.

what state do you live in? certain states will not allow that engine swap.

you will definately need a new transmission. look at getting a t5 or a t56 with a windsor bellhousing. you will also have to upgrade to a 8.8 rearend and get a new driveshaft.
