I would change you oil use a oil stabilzer and a none synthetic oil next time you change I suggest Lucas Oils stabilzer and a heavy oil. Fill put two things of the Lucas stabilzer in with the other oil. Do all that next oil change then and next time you change your oil if you have the same problem get the car checked out. After you get it fixed move to a Rolay Purple synthetic oil.

if you use a heavy oil (say 20W-50) and 2 bottles of lucas.....do you know how hard that would be on the pump and the oil pump drive shaft and how long it will take for oil to get to the top end...suck a milk shake through a straw and then a glass of milk....what get's to your mouth quicker.

synthetics

was concerned that if i switch to a synthetic the engine might develope leaks..has 72k miles. no leaks now. However far superior lubrication is definately of interest to me. squeek could be drive bearing for the psedo (ifis?) distributor. Any ideas? its a 98 3.8..
