I think for the 8.8 rear it is 3.73s and 3.90s. It all depends what you want to do and what kind of driving you are going to be doing the most.

Daily driver though. What are your future plans for the car. How do you normally drive the car? highway or backroads?

With the 3.73's you will be turning 2500 rpm at 75mph and 3000 rpm at 90mph...assuming you have the stock tire size.

The 3.90's will give you about 150-200 rpm higher than that. So you'd be spinning at least 2700 rpm to cruise on the highway. Thats a lot for a daily driver...and the acceleration differences between the two will be almost non-existent.

I would say the 3.73's are the best all around gear...even 3.55's if you drive on the highway a lot.

With a 5-speed I would say 3.55s, especially if you're gonna do some HP mods. 3.73s might give you traction issues, and makes 1st gear pretty useless for daily driving.

Just my $0.02.

Ya, I got a w/c T-5 with the 2.95 1st and 3.73's. 1st gear feel like launching an airplane down a runway. Wish I would've went 4.10's.

With 26" tires, about 2150 rpm @ 60 mph. If you step it up to 70 mph, it'll be a little over 2500 rpm. At 80 you'll be at 2875 rpm.

you runnin stock heads, that sounds very familiar to my daily driver stock longblock, with a X cam, roller rockers, headers, Torker 2 intake and a 700 dp Holley with a 3.35 first T5 and 4.30's it is quite possibly the most fun you can have on the way to work
