I know you guys have probaly heard this a lot but i couldnt find anything with the similar setup as mine. Im gonna be running a 347 with a 645 lift solid cam 300 duration afr 205 cylindar heads with larger nitrous exhaust ports 1 3/4 headers about 10 1/2 to 1 compression and i was thinking about running 3 inch h pipe with 3 inch flowmaster 1 chambers to dumps is 3 inch too big for this setup possibly? Im pretty sure this setup is gonna make around 500hp mabye more but im not sure if 3 inch will be too much? thank you for your time.

I think the 3" is going to be too much for you. My friend had 3" on his 93 hatch with a similar set up. 347/ported afr 185's 1 3/4 headers/ c-4. He was trapping 140 ish with the 3" and flows. Changed to dynomax ultraflow and 2.5". Trap went up to 144-145. This is on nitrous of course.

It will be fine, you still have mufflers on so you will have some BP, It will sound killer I bet.

3" exhaust is very effective from 450hp and above, or maybe from 500 up, I have full 3" exhaust and i know it's point-less right now, but i'll have it ready once i do have 500hp....

3 inch is also great for any high RPM applications.
