3-Speed Shifter

Hello, I recently bought a partially restored '67. It has a very sloppy 3-speed shifter, though it was obviously rebuilt recently as it is very clean. I removed the shifter mechanism and found the two shift levers are really flopping around on the shaft. I disassembled and it appears something is missing. I believe there is supposed to be a spacer on the shaft, to take the place of the 4-speed's reverse lever. Anyone familiar with this, or have an exploded view of a 3-speed shifter? I could guess, but I'd rather get it right from the start. Thank you!

Yeah, there's a cup shaped spacer. Good deduction. Not available new, of course, but someplace like Glazier/Nolan can provide you a used one. As for the rest of the shifter, I prefer the 4-speed handle kit even on 3-speed shifters (it's more firm) and be sure you get the special thick hardened washers, only place I know that has them is G/N. Without these, the grommets will not be properly compressed, leaving the shift lever flopping loose.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'm thinking I'll fabricate the part in my shop, should be pretty simple. For reference, does anyone have an exploded view of a 3-speed shifter? I have it for a 4-speed but can't find the 3-speed.
