3 Valve exhaust vs. 2 Valve exhaust....Help

Okay, this is my first post concerning my 05 GT. Long story short, I had an 04 GT with a Mac o/r H pipe and 2 chamber Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and it sounded absolutly WONDERFUL. So having run this setup previously, I figured it would sound just as good if not better on my 05, not the case. Right now I'm running a Pypes o/r H and 40 series Flows and it doesn't sound bad, but just nowhere close to my 04. The 04 had lots of throat and growl and you could here it a mile away, the 05 has some growl but just doesn't compare at all, it sounds hollow, like it's missing something. Anyone that's heard a 2 valve with the setup I mentioned will know the sound I'm talking about, and I want that sound for my 05. My questions are:

1. Why is the sound on the 3 valve so much different than the 2 valve?
2. Should I use a different muffler?
3. Would Long Tube Headers give me more throat and growl?

Any thoughts, opinions or facts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I know what you mean man. For some reason I'm seeing the 2v's sounding mean. I want that sound too on my Stang. the headers should make a difference. I'd either do that or switch out mufflers.

the 05 cats are HUGELY sound absorbant for some reason as soonj as i went to long tubes with no cats OMG my car is is loud and mean sounding when your on it.

also the cam profiles and the exhaust valve design change the dynamics of the exhaust pulse so no mater what you do it will never sound just like a 2 valve.

Thanks for all the input guys...the way it sounds now with the o/r H and the flows is good, just not the same. I can learn to live with that. However today I was messing around with the H pipe because of a small exhaust leak and decided to see what she would sound like wide open straight out of the H, and Oh My God!!!! It was insane, loud and quite comparable(in terms of growl and throat) to my last 2 valve. I'm seriously thinking about getting some electric cutouts just for fun...and cruising around and stuff. So thanks again for all the comments.

The longtubes definitely help deepen the sound. I'm running the JBA Longtubes with catted H-pipe and stock mufflers. If I want to go with a deeper, louder sound I'll be going with the Borla Stingers or the Steedas which are made by Borla.
