You can run HO or non-HO by changing the order of the spark plug wires...

But that Summit cam is for a flat tappet, not roller...

I am having a hard time understanding you, but, no you cant use the cam. try to sell it and get a stock H.O cam. If you have the money upgrade to a set of e7 heads or better too.

Are you trying to say you want to know if a flat tappet cam and lifter set will work in your engine? If so, it will, but you will need new pushrods that are the proper length. But you would be better off with what stykthyn said and get a stock H.O. roller cam.

A flat tappet cam can be used in a roller block, as Fast63 stated, but if you're planning on using it with EFI, it'll be a no-go. It has the wrong firing order. That cam will have the 302 non-HO firing order. You need the 302HO/351W firing order.

The big question is if you r running efi? And if so are you using the tbird computer or the complete mustang HO setup? The 2 motors are actually totally differnt except for the bottom end (ex. pistons)

No. If it's a flat tappet cam, you need flat tappet lifters. You can, however, use it in a roller block.

for your purposes, a stock HO roller cam would be best.
