this guy i know has an old ford 302. he said he give it to me for free cause i helped him do somework with his car. i just want the block. i want to get it machine printed to see if its still upto date. if so i want to bore it 020 or 030 over. and get all new internals and cams and heads. will this work. i want to put it in my 99 gt?..can anyone help me out here

if it the good old push rod motor yes you can put it in on a 99GT, but you will need a different computer, fuel system other stuff to accomedate it in. but if your talking about swapping it it with a OHC set up then no

Pushrod 302 in a 99GT is a LOT of work. WIll cost you several grand. You'll need a new K-member, wiring harness, computer, accessories and other supporting hardware, not to mention a T-5 transmission since your's will not bolt to a 302 block. You could go carbed and it would be slightly cheaper, you you'll still be into it for a chunk of change.

Sell it and buy some mods for your car instead. Then again, a used 302 is only a couple hundred or so.
