For my graduation present, hopefully my 66 coupe will be going under a nice "overhaul". The first part of this lovely project will be me purchasing the shortblock for christmas. Here are the details

TRW Forged Pistons
Recon Rods
New Stock standard Crank
ARP Main Stud Kit
ARP Head Bolts
Double Roller Timing Chain.
F-303 Cam.
Melling Hi volume Oil pump.


As for everything on top, i was thinking AFR 165 heads, RPM intake not sure about rockers yet but how does this combo sound to u guys. Im thinking she'll pump out close to 400hp once its tuned etc. Suggestions/comments would be lovely.

Sounds good, especially with the RPM and 165s, but I'd consider the Trickflow #1 cam in place of the F303, but I have to say that the F303 is the least crappy of the mild FMS cams, so you're not too far off.

PS: Main studs are overkill here, IMHO. I'd go for ARP rod bolts though. Also, HV oilpumps are for cheby retards; waste of $$$.
