31 spline carrier unit out of a truck?

hey i hadplanned on buyign an eaten posi but then i saw that this guy was selling a 8.8 31 spline unit from and f150. practically brand new. Can thye hold their own? I also heard the new cobras had them or something. but my question is just if it would hold up to something like 600 horse (with aftermarket axles) on drag radials, not slicks.

I have a 31spline unit in my car...I got it out of an explorer...they handle up pretty well..

I dont think it will handle 600HP...not for long anyways..if you are goin to make that much HP better spool it..

well i want this to be a street car too, something that can tear it up in and have chicks begging me for a ride
but seriously, I am gonna have some et sportsmans, no slicks or anything crazy. I dont want my car to hook up decent, just something that copuld handle its own on launches.
