So been working on a 2000 4.6 gt 5 speed with cold air intake BBK 78mm throttle body under drive pulleys 42lb injectors NGK plugs after market coils sct tuner 325lph fuel pump working up to a 93mm turbo. Ok with that said the car did start and run ran rich for a few minutes then shut it self off not sure why! Waited till the sct tuner got there while installing tuner got to much fuel in cylinders hydro locked motor got fuel out tried again to start hydro locked again! Is the 325 pump to much for now? I'm going to take tuner out see what happens being car did start and run before the tuner!?

Does the tune MATCH the fuel pump used??????

If not, then yes the fuel pump is too much.

If yes, then it should be fine.

But. Want to know for sure? Then data log the fuel pressure. If the fuel pump is too big one expected symptom should be a spike in fuel pressure. Other expected symptoms would be a rich AF mixture with negative LTFT's.

If the fuel pressure never spikes, then the excessive fuel is likely the result of the tune not matching the size of the fuel injectors.

The injectors and the tuner Both coming out sct Bama claimed they can't or don't have a program for 42lb injectors! Not sure what injectors I'm gonna go with going to do some research before ordering more injectors!

The problem is likely in the tune.

Your turbo setup is too far beyond stock.......mail tunes are a bad choice. Bama’s Own site has this disclaimer: “Heavily modified cars are not tunable with a mail order tune.” Not being able to tune for 42lb injectors is a huge warning sign that you are using the wrong people. Bama tunes are great for simpler setups / bolt on cars.

You need a dyno tune. Find a local reputable tuner - either tow it to that tuner or get a tune from that local tuner that is good enough to drive to the dyno.

At a minimum if something is not working right a good tuner can take some good logs to help you fix your issue.

The 2000 gt in question belongs to a friend I'm trying to help the turbo is probably Not going in the stang! Took the injectors out tried to start it turns over really well but will not run! Getting fuel between 20 n 30 lbs to the rail gage getting spark to the plugs! When he got the car we noticed that it has oil cap on both valve covers and have had the car up to 146mph with room to go! It also has knock sensor the water pump for a 2000 will not fit the car! Can't see the block numbers well enough to see what year it is. Thanks for the help!!!!

Fuel rail gage shows 30psi while cranking motor but it sounds like a waterfall in side the tank here's a laugh when I asked owner of the gt in question Why did you order the sct After they said no tune for anything over 24lbs injectors he says "mail in rebate" some people just don't understand OverKill 325lph pump 42lbs injectors Really 93mm turbo in a vert OverKill sounds like a junkyard wish to me!!! Well his car still won't start so I asked you gonna take my advice next time? The 93mm is now going in a 72 c10 that he's going to have me build a 4 built 454 for the c10 interned my shop four days ago first chevtured in my new shop!!!!!
