.330 Balljoint spacers, where can you buy them?

im in a bind. i started my cobra brake install. got back to re-assembly and found out the issue with fox balljoints. i called some parts stores close to closing time, and they said they dont have anything close to what i need.

.330 thickness, .625" inner diameter, 1.5" outer diameter.

preferrably hardened id imagine washers.. is there any vehicle, or something i could identify specifically to get these? anyone had this issue before, where did you find a solution at?

the depot has a section with special bolts and washers you can try there.

Alot of people just use washers.

I know you sent me a PM on this, but i'll answer here.

I made my spacers from scrap steel stock i had laying around. I had access to a mill, so i just tossed a bar on and spun them up on my own. A few people do make them and list them on ebay or the classified, but the breeze automotive link above is your best bet.

You can use hardened steel washers, but i like the spacers better.

thanks for the link. im hoping i can find something that will work locally today though.

that link says its .250 thick, so if i have .080 tolerance.. i should be able to make something work i hope.

Many guys have done fine with hardned 5/8" diameter washers from Home Depot

The only forces really acting on the spacers are compression. Grade 8 hardware should be plenty strong to withstand it. A lot of guys don't want to go this route simply because they are washers, but it works.

It's really a matter of common sense. I wouldn't run Aluminum spacers put it that way

hardware stores, like ace, sells spacers. If not then just run some hardened washers. Get two 1/8" thick ones to equal .25"....unless you want to wait 3-4 days for two spacers......it's all preference
