My suggestion is stick with the F1r, but ditch the 8.2 deck crap and build a 9.5 deck 357,383,393,408,427, etc, a big inch windsor motor will make the power making less boost, and you will spend less money and have less maintenence in the long run

Now as for the entire build yeah let me say im going to be putting roughly $25K in2 my car that i already have $15000 invested in it. Ah lets see its call Drag racing last i check, so big Buck Sport for Guys with Big Dreams and Pockets unless you just want a fun Street Strip car and those days are over for my 1989 Stang, as for the Black 87 GT i have also thats my Baby thats 302 With Heads and a little goodies and a 100 Shot for some Friday Nights along with AC / Power Windows Etc and my Sons Booster Seat.
The answer to your question is yes, a 331 with an f1R will make 900rwhp all day, the stock ECU with a SCT isnt gonna be able to cut the mustard though, and be prepared to buy all new parts, because if you want 900rwhp, then 99% of what was on your 306 stock block 500hp motor arent gonna work and you will have to do things twice.

Got That, &as for the $15000 Engine Build along with Suspension upgrades, Its going to happen OK,so sorry for those who have to Spend Tons of Cash as their Builder wants to Rape them OK.

I agree with Hasselhoff, a chassis is the right way to go 25.5 would be a good start. It has features that a 12pt just will not cover, this will ensure you keep the car together and it actually gets to the ground.
