get rid of them. Who did you order the ki from. If infact the lower oil ring intersects the wrist pin, then your going tp experience oil bruning problems. Get some pics, id like to see these ancient things..

If built correctly you can get them to work fine, however I also prefer the non intersecting ring lands. What length is the rod? What brand?

I ran that exact same piston in my 331ci and for the 10,000 or so miles I used it I had zero oil issues. In speaking with the guy I had do the machining, it's more of an internet myth than it's a problem but people do have oil control issues because they do not properly hone the bore. As long as you have a bore of proper spec, hone with a torque plate you should get many oil controlled miles. If I was to see oil issues I would have seen it in time I ran the motor.

To use these pistons in a 8.2" block he will need a 5.4" rod.

Also, just a heads up if you're running Eagle (assuming Scat is the same) don't assume you'll have zero deck with everything, mine sat 0.020" below deck assembled.

I know a guy that just got his 331 kit with Ross pistons and his intersects the wrist pin. The pistons came with a special ring that goes under the regular oil rings.
My kit came with srp pistons and they do not intersect the wirst pin.
