I've got a set of GT-40x aluminum heads, ported by a winston cup guy. Now I want to start building a 347 Eagle stoker for a Cobra kit...forged crank, forged H-beam rods, SRP pistons. Here's my questions:
1. The valve seats have a very light rust that can be removed with a scotch bright pad and some oil, but there is some light pitting in the valve seat. Is this going to be a problem. If so, is it repairable? (They sat in my storage unit for 4 years)
2. How much (ballpark) will a machine shop charge to fully machine the 302 block? (align hone, .30 bore, etc...)
3. Does the Eagle stroker kit have issues with burning oil?
