Definately look into a reputable company like Coast High Performance or DSS or something like that. They have good kits at reasonable prices.

I'm not surprised by the $600 price you found because that shouldn't be a problem to find with a no name, junk crank and rods. On the other hand, I'd have serious issues with a fully forged kit for $950. Typically, an Eagle or Scat cast crank stroker kit goes for more than that. That price would make me seriously question the crankshaft.
If you want to a good brand name (Scat) 347 stroker with cast steel crankshaft, forged I beam rods w/ ARP bolts, forged Probe pistons, rings and bearings for $899, I can point you in the right direction. It's the best deal I've found on them so far. And for that price, I don't really look for the cheaper ones.

i know exactly what your looking at cause i've been thinking about them for the past 2yrs. just haven't mustard up the balls to try'em, instead i'll prob go with chp they have a 347 kit for $799!!! why go with all forged anyways? imo you'd be wasting your $ cause your oem block would break way before any of the internals giveout. there are some people on here that have used the tmd/dee$/cat products and have had no problem with them. if you did buy from them my guess is youd be spending much more for machine work correcting everything wrong with the product. many stangnet'ers have bought from CHP love their products. just fork up the extra $100 http://www.coasthigh.com/Specials/Specials_current.htm
