I posted this in the SN95 classified too, since it applies any 5.0 really. If that breaks any of the rules, I'll take one of the ads down.

Out of Tucson, I have a 347 shortblock built in town by Larry's Engine & Marine based on my original stock block (95 GT). It's still wrapped in plastic and freshly oiled. The builder is reputable and the workmanship done on it is excellent.

I'm selling it because I was never able to afford the heads and whatnot to follow through with the project. If you have the right heads, this is basically ready to be put together.

Included:

  • Shortblock
SRP inverted dome -15cc pistons (10.4:1 compression with a 54cc head)
    Scat forged rods
    Scat cast crank
  • Edelbrock timing set
  • Cam (Comp Cams 270HR-10 cam)
  • Oil pump (Melling M68A) & ARP pump shaft
  • Balancer (Proffesional Products, 28oz)
  • Re-balanced flywheel (needs resurfacing, but it's still good)
  • Cometic MLS head gaskets (pair)

Asking $1800 obo.
I will ship it if the buyer wishes to pay for the freight. I'm not sure what it would cost.

I'll be happy to send the original hi-res photos if anyone wants. Anything that looks like scratches or cracks is just towel fibers and runny oil.

I priced out three different shipping companies and they were all in the $500 range  for the weight and dimensions I figured.

It's WAY more than I expected. I don't personally know anyone locally who can get me freight deals. This may end up being a pick-up only sale.

I will give this a couple more weeks and probably just take down the ad and put the motor in my car afterall.
