How can I get this much power out of my stock 302? I really love the Kenne Bell S/C so I will definitly consider it in the future, but what kind of heads and cam would you guys recommend? I think the Kenne Bell only fits on GT40 lower intake. I just want to prepare my engine slowly for the S/C. In the end I want no more than 400hp and reliability and emissions legal. All I have now is BBK shorties,BBK O/R h-pipe, flowmasters, Auto for now but 5-speed in the future. my next mod is most likely 3.73's considering my highway driving and my goal for the tranny swap. Thanks guys

the kb at 7# and a ported gt40 lower and any aftermarket or gt40 heads on a safe tune should get you 350 hp and 400#'s. better heads, a cam, and 8 pounds you'll be a lot closer to your max

with a kb s/c you don't want to go any higher on your gear. those kb's start building boost real quick. so you don't want to runout of gear before the traps. you will have to run a gt40 lower with a kb. as far as heads go. how much do you want to spend? afr's 165 or 185's, vic jr.'s, twisted wedge, broadix......there's a lot of good heads. depends on your budget. but if all you are looking for is 350-400. just get a set of explorer heads done by thumper. might save you a few bucks over the others. because those kb's aren't cheap.

IIRC, you have two intake choices with the small KB ..............
OEM and OEM Cobra

I would stay away from any OEM iron head if going for max power
as they have much thinner decks which are more prone to flexing
and lifting than typical after market Aluminum Heads.

Don 95Vert has on more than one occasion said the smaller KB
will run out of breath if you build an efficient h/c/i combo that
will really move a lot of air.

If you really want to learn a lot of good, valid KB info ...........
Use that name on the various forums ;)
