if you have stock mounts and a stock k-member, how did you move it back an inch? did you have to modify the k-member or something?SorsCode said:just saw this thread. I don't come over to Stangnet much. my 408 is under the stock hood right now. I'm using a stock mount engine moved back an inch in stock K-member and using an Edelbrock RPM intake. Now I still have an Inch of clearance at the highest point. So I'm debating on maybe down the road once the car runs and upgrade from the S-trim to a T or YSi I may go with a Spider intake setup since I have room.

The replacement mounts Ford or the auto parts places sell don't drop quite as much as the original 83 Vert mounts did. Saleen also modified these mounts to drop it even more. I run a 1 inch spacer with mine and have clearance
