Ok im building up a 418 stroker, and I need to know what oil pan I should go with.. there is a 5qt coversion pan from summit for 131 or should i go with like a canton 7qt oil pan 250+?
Plan on running 6500 rpms at most on this stroker..
I was told that as a general rule for whatever rpm you go up to you take 1% of that and that should work for your oil pressure. Meaning if i went 6500 rpms i should have a oil pump that is pushing at least 65 lbs of pressure. That would take a hv oil pump to make that pressure i believe.
