What is a better street/strip route to go with a 351W stroker? NA or power adder? Not concerned with money or gas milage. It will only be a weekend cruiser or occational track participant. I wanna know if I can get the same power numbers from NA that I can from having boost but it being cheaper since I didn't have to run forced induction.

If the car needs to have reliability, you aren't going to see the power you would see if you used a supercharger. Sure you could have 700 RWHP N/A out of a 408 or something, but driveability would be sacrificed.

351w

i have a 351 w in my stang. im going with a N/A stroked motor. hard to decide which 1 though because a 393 needs no connecting rod clearence notching which means i would probably attempt the build myself however a 408 short block is prettry tempting. with afr heads N/A 408 can make easy 525hp. sound like enough street power to me well for a year or 2 till u get used to it. i run juice on my 351 now and i love the stuff. special with the digital 6 ignition box with timing retard controls. takes the detonation worry away.

I figure between 393 and 427. I just can't deside which one because of compression needed to be answered as well. I don't know what I freakin want yet and it's killing me. I figure if I got whic Joe's statement that boost will keep it clean on the street then a low compression with the most cubes would be best. Can you spray something that has boost or is that overkill? I want to get this issued settled so I can deside what rotating assembly to go with and also what bore and stroke. Would I need a race block to run boost and then add spray later? Do I really need something as strong as billet steel for any possibilities that I may deside to do? I mean can I ever do anything that would require that strong of a crank? How much power is the aluminum crank good for? These are all things I need to deside on before spending one dime.

I've been debating this a lot lately. I'll probably end up with a 9:1 compression 393 so I can put an S-trim on it if I feel the need.
