well i just picked up a 351w out of a 72 torino (figured it would make nice back up motor for my 331) I know the crank is good to 700hp and i know the block is good till 700hp but could i have the rods shotpeened and put a set of .30 over flat top probes on it and make a solid motor? I figured i might as well do this since i got the motor for free and i plan on using alot of nitrous on my 331

Hey rick, how strong are the newer 351w roller blocks and rotating assemblies? My uncle has one out of a 3/4 ton ford truck that he wants to sell. I wanna say maybe a 1996?

The late model 351W roller stuff truly is not much stronger then a late model 302, they are stiill weak at the main webbing.

The football rods are pretty strong, I would just upgrade the rod bolts and use a good set of pistons
