351c 2 Valve Or 4 Valve

Ignore GOLF

If you had a bad day Golf, Don't Post. Matt, what you're looking for is the difference between a 2v and 4v Cleveland. The "v" stands for Venturi in the Carb, meaning 2 bbl or 4 bbl. Best way I know of to tell the difference is the exhaust ports are almost 2"x2" square on a 4v and something closer 1"x2" rectangle on a 2v head. These are Approx. I don't know if the intakes are different sizes as well. Hope that helps!!!

In the corner of the heads just above the valve cover there will be a "2" or a "4" cast into the head. This indicates whether or not they are the small port 2 bbl carb heads or the large port 4 bbl carb heads. If there is nothing there then they are 351M-400 heads which are almost identical to the 351 2bbl small port heads.

Thanks.
I didnt mean to sound like a dumb butt.
I guess Im used to the newer terminology. I have a new Mustang and its always listed as 2v so I thought the "V" in old motor terms stood for valve like the new engines.

I guess it may have been a silly question but I went to order an intake manifold, carb, and headers and the sales rep asked me which version it was so I had to ask you fine people on here.
