351w and Tremec 3550 into my 67

I want to put my 351w and tremec into my 67, I know I need the headers. The motor is fresh, 9.1 compression, and has a supercharger cam (.556/.571 lift, 224/236 @.050 duration and a 113 lobe seperation. I would run a victor jr intake and a 750 carb. The ehads are world roush 200 heads(like the wondsor sr's). What kind of power would I see? Any tips on the swap?

Also, the steering is very sloppy, the car wanders a lot. what could cause this?

thanks in advance

Rebuild your tie rods, and well you are at it...the rest of the front suspension.

You can run the cheapest headers known to man: Headmen 302 headers....I have the same car with a 351W....and these headers....AWESOME!

As for power....well over 400hp! You better have frame connectors and traction bars...I run the under rider type. It will be a rocket....my car is probably gonna run high 11's with slightly less power than you.

I don't think the 351W will work with 289/302 headers. The 351 has a taller deck height, which raises the heads...I think that the headers won't drop far enough to get under the car, if that makes any sense.

so replace the tie rod ends, bushings, ball joints etc? The Headman headers for 302 work? are they long tube or shorty? I want long tubes. Thanks for the reply

A wise man once told me: Invest in the best BRAKES, SUSPENSION, STEERING AND OTHER SAFTEY items before you worry about the race engine, etc... So, I recommend starting with a TIGHT front end and good brakes especially with the HP you have.

Yes, the headman headers are LONG TUBE. They are like $99.00 from summit.
They work great......except for the clutch equalizer bar.....I MADE my own to fit the 351W in a 67 stang. So, if you are running a 4 speed....that may be an issue for you. It really isn't hard to make your own though.

EDIT: With the tremec...you will run a cable...therefore the equalizer bar is not a problem. :nice:
