I've tried the search button, but can't find anything to my exact questions so I'll ask you guys.
I can get a 351W from oil pan to air filter for $100 (if that) from my god-father. He's had it just sitting in his shop for over a year and said I could have it. My questions are:
1. What must I do with the ECU? Do I completely remove it or what? I have an AODE so I'm guessing the computer does something with telling the transmission when to shift and such. Do I take part of the computer out and hook the rest up to an MSD [Mallery, Accel, etc...] box to tell it when to shift and for a rev limiter?
2. Will it fit under my 96 Cobra Hood? I just got this hood and my entire car painted about 3 days ago. I do not want to switch anything, I'm hoping I won't have clearance issues. Is there a way to raise the hood if I do have issues?
3. How much extra HP am I looking at compaired to my stock 302?
4. What else will I need for the swap?
5. How's my MPG looking with a 351?
6. Is it really worth it?
