Swapped a windsor in, and I am having trouble finding headers that will work with the manual trans.

Does anyone know of a set that will work for sure?

I really want to keep the stock linkage, and not go with a cable or hydrolic.

Thanks

Use 69 351w exhaust manifolds and have them ported. They should flow as good or better then almost any header out there and it will be way cheaper.

look for headers that fit a 69 with a 351 windsor and a manual. Both hedman 88300 and hooker 6208 supposedly fit.

I have 88300 and they required mods for a cable clutch but they looked like the z bar would have fit.

You and your damn do it yourself attitude

Get yourself some Hooker Comps/Super Comps and be happy (they have actual Super Comp swap headers). And honestly I don't think you could make 351w standard exhaust manifolds flow that well regardless of how much/well you port them (better than my Heddman swap headers.. maybe, but not Super Comps)... but if you want a set, I believe i have a set laying around...

The 69 and 70 manifold when ported WILL flow as good or better then most headers. I have a ported set but they don't work with a cable clutch which is why I'm not using them.
