I plan on building a stroked 351W EFI to go into a 77 Bronco. While searching for EFI stuff I ran upon a post on another site that said the 5.8L EFI on trucks were not to performanced oriented and mentioned that you could use a 5.0 EFI to get more power and torque. Has anyone done this or have any information on building a 5.8L EFI engine?

You can use a 5.8 EFI lower, and a 5.0 EFI upper, injectors, computer and all the EFI stuff, thereby making a MAF EFI 5.8. The 5.8 EFI upper is too tall for a Fox, but it would probably fit in a bronco, but you'd still have to use 5.0 EFI stuff to get MAF. The (common?) statement that the 5.8 EFI intake is useless for performance is untrue, the ports are large and rectangular, and the performance has been compared to the exclent Edelbrock Performer EFI

Going that route of the 5.8L lower and 5.0 Upper, is that the only was to go with the MAF set-up?

Sorry I didn't make myself clear there. Provided you had the space, you could use the entire 5.8 intake and just use the MAF parts from a 5.0, but to aviod a possibility of problems, I'd use the 351w lower and 5.0 upper and use 5.0 injectors (larger aftermarket ones), computer, MAF stuff, ect. I've never tried this, but I talked to a Ford-nut aquaintance that tried to put a EFI 351W in a Fox, him and here at SN is where most of my info comes from. I have to say that I got a really good look at the 351 lower the guy had on his bench, and the ports looked BIG to me, so, from pix of the performer I've seen, say that its a fair comparison. HTH
