Today I was drivng the car and I was only doing about 20mph, went to shift into 3rd gear and it went into neutral. The shifter was in the 3rd gear position but not actually in 3rd gear. I'm guessing bent shift forks, but I don't really know much about transmissions. When I bought it last year, I got a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty from the dealer I purchased it from. Ironically, it was a Chevy dealership! Gonna call them up tuesday moring, damn holiday monday!

edit: 4th gear only works part of the time. Usually it is only going into neutral. One time, the shifter was actually in the neutral position, but the tranny was in 4th gear.

Are you positive that you pushed the shifter all the way in?? I have had that happen to me before where I put it about 9/10ths the way in but it didn't engage. I wouldn't think anything about it unless it happens again. 3650's are pretty rock solid.

Yeah, i'm sure. It still will not go into 3rd. Just acts like its in neutral with the shifter in the 3rd gear position.
