373 vs stock gears launching

im getting 373s installed today in my 90 gt with toyo proxie tires, with the stock gears i usually lauch at 2k-2200k and get great traction and luanch hard and i was wondering with the 373s will i ahve to re learn how to lauch the car???

You won't have to re-learn, you'll just have to adjust the RPM @ which you launch. You'll have lots of fun with the new gears.

Readjusting=relearning...yes you will...Some cars are different with clutches and tires and all but I usually bring mine up 2500 and slip the clutch a little bit and I'm off with a chirp of the tires...

Yep, as long as i'm not on crummy pavement and its a nice road... the method stated above works well..

Sorta like taking off how you normally do from a light when it turns green, then once your off & rolling, it gets the full squash.

toyo proxis are the hardest tires meaning you are going to spin really bad. I know because I have them for street use. I suggest getting drag radials or slicks. I also have 3.73 gears and they made a huge difference in acceleration. enjoy

Have had my 3.73's for almost 2 weeks and you will not believe how much faster you will get thru the gears.Haven't done much racing but hoping to do some this summer.
