Ok, so stupid question.....I am looking for exhaust manifolds for my 390 (67 S Code) and the heads (C8AE-H) are 14 bolt but everything I see is 8 bolt. FPA has a set of 14 bolt headers and I may go that direction but I am also looking to keep my options open! Does it matter that the heads are 14 bolt and the manifolds are 8?

Thanks as always!

The reason the heads have 14 bolts is to accommodate both the GT and standard exhaust manifolds (you use one set or the other). Just look for a set of FE manifolds or headers for a Mustang and you be fine.

helo i am new here but i an not new to mustangs, the a 8 bolt exhaust manifolds
were designed for the larger fords ,galaxies thunderbirds and such .they will not
fit in a mustang ,cougar, you must use the ones for 14 bolt heads as they
are designed specificly for these cars, with 428 cj heads having 16 bolts per head.
428 manifolds are available once again through many of the parts venders but
the 390s are not, afraid your next option would be headers, i have to tell you they
are not fun to instal

Sounds like the headers from FPA are the way to go!
Thanks
