3g alternator swap going on

So I'm doing the 3g swap and I was wondering what happens to the plug for the regulator from the 2g that is in it now? Do the wires get cut or what do they plug into, because it doesn't seem there is anywhere to plug that into?

Follow jrichkers advice and read the Sticky. When I install mine I think I am going to use the Plug Harness from Fordfuelinjection.com along with my 4 Gauge Power Wire.

And do be sure you are sure of what connector is which. The 2G regulator plug goes into the 3G alt.
