3G swap

alright ive been reading wiring diagrams and posts for 5 hours now and im just confused, i got an alternotor all mocked up and ready to go and im trying to figure out the easiest way to do the wiring, i have spliced the white/black wire to the new plug on the 3G, now i need to know what wires i splice into next and where, i keep seeing that i need to put some yellow wire in the power post but dont know where to cut im tired and hungry and want to get this done asap help is appreciated

5 hours!? lol, all you gotta do is run a 4ga wire from the stud on the back of the wire to the starter solenoid w/ a inline fuse, and if you already have the stator wire spliced and plugged in thats it!! You shoulda been done 4 1/2 hours ago.

Thanks to Joe this is the only diagram you should need.
Dont let all the wires confuse you, all you gotta do is look what side the power wire from the alt goes on the solenoid
(Make sure your ring terminal on the stud isnt touching the alternator case because you will short it and blow the fuse, I did this without noticing the terminal was touching the case, not much clearance, use tape.)

Jrichker's diagram in Mob's post is a real easy way to do it. You don't even have to cut the wire - bare a portion and solder a tee into it. Or feel free to cut - that rectifier plug should have been replaced about 10 times by now.
