Will 351 swap long tubes with a 3 inch collector connect right up to the 2.5inch h-pipe I'm using for my 306?...they both have a ball and socket flange....Do they use the same size flanges or will one not fit in the other?

Thanks

BBK has 3.00" collectors, but the ball and socket measure around 2.3-2.4", for improved seal.

Measure the ball and socket opening.

this is the 2nd thread that you said that on, but again, its 2.5" collectors.

you may have to use an adapter when your bolting up the exhaust, but if i was you, i would just try to find a 3" mid pipe from MAC or DR gas.

Talk to Bryan Rogers.

Going off memory, it is 3.00" as well when I had mine.

It will be in many more threads Nate.

open it up to match your midpipe. i dont see any reason needing 3" anything for exhaust for that setup.

edit: i just noticed you want to use 351 headers on a 306...why not just get headers that are made for your 306?

Those BBK ones are looking pretty good right now for the price, will I lose alot of top end torque with the 1 5/8 and 2.5 inch collector rather than the bigger size?

Long Tube Headers Choices with a 3" collector - Corral Forums

Read post #7, #10, and #17.

Bryan Rogers has also told me they are 3.00". I had some and they were 3.00".
