Get a tuner,3rd does feel week compared to 1st and 2nd,but when racing people it doesn't seem to have a effect. I raced a H/C/I 5.0,and it was dead even side by side till I went into 4th which is past the 1/4 mark,he would pull 1 car and then stay there till we shut down. With the tuner I rev all the way to 6k in first, then 6.2k-6.5k in second, then third drops in real nice. I havent reved 2nd that high at the track, usualy to 6k every gear, but I think I can gain some mph by hold second till 6.2k next time.Did I mention get a tuner?

No problem here

Best Run Before Mods
2.097 60Ft.
8.857 1/8th Mile
13.638 1/4 Mile @104.473

This is in a car with 300 miles on it my first day at the track.

Broken in and with more seat time i'd expect closer to 13.4 in stock trim.

Don't forget a 3V engine makes it's power higher up. I'm used to driving a Honda which is dead below 3000rpm

One thing I have noticed is a delay between releasing the throttle for a shift and when the power is released. This is most likely caused by the drive by wire throttle. So when I shift there is a little rpm creep above your intended shift point. Couple this to the 100 rpm difference between my tach and what the Diablosport predator is showing (3000rpm tach and 3100rpm predator) and you have a possible bumping of the rev limiter.

Yes, tuner

I agree with all those who said "get a tuner." Since I got a Predator, all the quirks discussed in this thread just became a distant memory. Losing the rev limits was a welcome improvement, but the biggest difference was that the throttle is more like they were in the "old days" - not like a RC model airplane! Third gear is outrageous now. After the tune, my GT got smoother and faster - both.

I ran a 13.523 @ 105.184 in 3rd last night with just a predator and C&L intake last night. I also ran a 13.628 @ 106.202

It doesn't seem slow to me.

PS. traction wasn't all that great last night

3rd gear pulls extremely strong in my car. I can shift from 3rd to 4th at 95 mph.
