3V P&P Heads

It has been a little while since anyone said anything about p&p heads for our S197s and I was just wondering if anyone knew what type of power you would gain from such a modification. The only ones I have found were the ones made by BBR and they are going for 1600 or something like that, but I wanted to see what kind of power I can expect for the money. I am trying to build my engine up since I want to stay n/a for a while and I have heard that this is a good mod to do. Just in case no one knows how the 3v engine reacts to this then I was wondering what kind of increases 4v and 2v engines are seeing just so I can get an idea. Thank you.

I think I heard that they are producing around 75hp for the new '05 Stangs

I would be very surprised to see 75hp from porting & polishing. I'm pretty sure Livernois got 45.

I'm having mine done, but there's a bunch of other stuff being done to her too (and I didn't have them do a dyno pull for baseline), so I won't have a straight before/after comparison.

As for "when" - I called the shop again Thursday. Latest estimate is this Wednesday (Sep 7th, 2005).

I know you can get them from several places now. If you go on Suttonhp.com they have a list of various stages you can get. I am pretty sure if you do a full stage job with the Sutton heads they modify it to accept a different spark plug. I would think if you called around you could get some info on them. Be skeptical of what shops tell you though because few have actually tested them yet.

I thought they had more on it then they do. They must have taken some info down or something. There is a little spat on the homepage, midway down on the right side column. Guess you'll have to call to get more info.
