I put frpp 4.10a in my car but I want more gear. Has anyone put a set of 4.56 in a 3 valve? Or would 4.30 be enough? I loved the 4.56 in my 90 hatchback. Anyone have any info on the rpm @ the end of the quarter w/ 4.30?
Check out brenspeeds sight and the y have a video labeled "0-60 in 4.8 secs". those are 4.30s i believe and he has to shift to third before hitting 60 mph. I drove one with 4.30's and thought it to be a hair too much. 4.56 is way too much gear unless you have a full-on drag car that you dont drive on the street. And if you had a full on drag car you would be shifting into 5th with those. having a taller gear will eliminate having to shift which loses you et. 4.10 are fine and going to 4.30 from 4.10 isnt worth the hassle.
Want more oomph? get more power, not more gear. thats my opinion
