What a difference Going to let them break in a little before I lay the hammer down!

My break-in instructions were..."no big burnouts for about 50 miles". It's been 2 1/2 years and 63K miles later and there has never been any gear related problems or noise You will enjoy them!

Very much worth it....Now you can feel the Stang... in the seat of the pants!

Anyone interested in swapping gears...DO NOT BUY...MOTIVE GEARS!!!! FORD RACING....ONLY!!! Friend of mine at work is having problems with his MOTIVE GEARS....WHINNING ,etc...They are JUNK!!!

Damn, $120 for gear install? I paid close to 400!! :-(

But that was with a rebuilt kit, figured get new stuff while he had it apart, wouldn't think that would add that much wrenching time though!

My rear was rebuilt also.....seals, Bearings, Shims, etc.....

is your car a standard or auto??my 06 gt is an auto and im really wanting gears but cant decide 3.73 or 4.10.

275/40 will work great. That's what Roush uses on the 18x9.

You can see the fender gap difference between our two cars. He has the Saleen springs (.25" front/1" rear) with the 275/40 on 18x9. I have StangSuspension Series II springs (1.75" front/1.5" rear) with the 255/45 on 18x8.5.

I just got a set of 275/40 for my 18x9s today and they get installed tomorrow. I had a friend's set of the same wheel/tire size on mine last week to see if they'd fit since mine is lowered 1.75" up front (I don't know anybody else with that amount of drop running that tire) and there were no issues even going over some bumps at full lock in each direction.

I've (sorta ) rebuilt a differential in an '02 V6 Firebird. It shouldn't take longer than 4 hours to install new gears.

If the shop is good & focuses only on the gears... It COULD be done in about an hour and a half.

9/10 when you say "i drive a 5 speed", they're refering to a stick. What if I say i'm driving a manual - I could mean a manual valve body automatic! Geez-louise

Yep! With my point and shoot Sony. I can only use my DSLR if I'm the co pilot...
