Well it's a good idea that your not goin WOT just quite yet, let em break in properly. The only way to know is to go to the track when those gears are broke in. Go out there and drive it like you stole it, and make sure to launch that car on those DR's.

As far as break in goes , drive the car once or twice and then let the gears cool off. I was told to drive 500 or so miles then let it loose. I know plenty that drive it like they stole it from the time it rolled out of the shop and have no problems. Why change the gear oil?? No need.

If your traction is that good, be happy. Try leaving at 3000 rpm run it up to 6000 and powershift, you should break loose pretty easily. The street is different. I can chirp 4th if I don't shift right at the track but have to try on the street.

Hey did your BBK x-pipe connect to your Magnaflow cat back with no problem? I am having problems getting my Magnaflow x-pipe to fit on my exhaust manifold. The muffler shop tells me it is too wide where it connects to the exhaust manifold. I have the Magnaflow catback already installed, thinking about sending back the Magnaflow x-pipe and trying another brand. How did the BBk x-pipe hook up to the exhaust manifold? A pain in the ass or no?Thanks.

most people allow a "break in" grace period on their new gears so that there isn't an annoying whistle that can occur if not properly settled. It's not so much something that will hurt performance but an annoyance.

however you not being able to notice a huge difference in your cars performance after the 4:10 install is pretty redic. I mean lets get serious as far as bang for the buck goes it doesn't get much better. Of course it isn't going to make as large as a difference as a paxton or a vortec bolted on but it also doesn't cost 3 grand (give or take)

4.10's are definately a big on the SOTP meter, but don't expect to them to turn you into an LS1 killer.

I haven't been to the track since the gears, but I'd prefer to wait for some DR's before I do that anyway. (But I don't have DR's because I'm too lazy to order them ) Launching hard on stock tires and 4.10's sure is fun. I'm glad I have good LCA's and UCA's to help out.
