I have a gt 5 speed. When I race my freind in his cobra he pulls on me up top just a little I mean not even a car lenght from 60 to 100. I was wondering if 410s would change this at all. Right now I have the stock gear that runs 2000rpm at 90mph in 5th. Thanks

I am quite happy going from the stock 3.08's to 3.73's. I turn about 3500 rpm at 100 mph...

Yeah shorter gears will hurt your top end but who really goes 130 MPH in a car? If you drive 50 miles to work everyday dont get them.

4.10's pull really hard out of the hole and the neck snap is cool as hell.

yea if you want to still be able to cruise on the highway at 80 or 90 i would not get 4.10s. I also think your mph is a little off. I still have the stock gears in my 91 gt and im doing 80 at 2000rpm. I would go with 3.73's they seem to be the pefect gear. Cruising at 75-80 you will be taching about 2500-2600 rpms....thats a lot more manageable

i agree with all of you:
if you have a 5 speed go with the 3.73
if you have an Aod go 4.10

I'd go with 3.73 or 4.10s. If you ever plan on using slicks with a mostly stock combo then use the 4.10's

I dunno why my car revs more than everyone elses. Maybe the 25hp/15tq difference between '86s and 87-93's? I drive mine on a daily basis on the highway and at around 70mph I'm turnin just over 2000RPM's. I have the original 3.08s out back. Maybe somethin is wrong with my car.

Ignore him, you don't learn if you don't ask.. lol

Anyway if you get the 4.10's you will pull quicker in each gear even 3rd and 4th... Though, yes, you won't have the same top speed as 2.73's you'll still accelerate quicker per gear against the car that has 2.73's assuming they have the same power and rev out the same.

It could be the size of your tires!
