Any one ever run 4.30 gears...Just wondering what RPM you crossed the line at while racing at the track. My 3.73 are a no go...crossing the finish line at 5K RPM in fourth...motor shifts at 7000. Need opinions on gears...4.10, 4.30, 4.56-Any suggestions welcome...Motor car with high probability of having a wet unit (carbed) put on it soon.

Whats your full combination? I need 4.30's too and if my guesstimate is correct 4.30's will have me crossing around 6,800-6,900.

Play with this calculator. Just remember, your trap speed will be lower than your vehicle speed you actually cross the line at. http://www.corral.net/tech/gearcalc.html

Wel track numbers are in...12.31 @ 109.6. Crossing the line between 5000-5100 Bought some 4.30 gears yesterday, will put them in tonight. The car went a 1.6 and 1.7 60" on both the 12.30 passes. Should be in the high 11's with gears.

What camshaft do you have? That exhaust is a big restriction with your combo but I see you're in Cali so smog is an issue I guess. Your car will love the 4.30's. Have you done any tuning?

I know that Paul, Killercanary runs 410's so maybe he will jump in with some 1/4 mile track info from his findings.

Is it just me and I don't remember correctly or .....

Have any of you guys seen those caculators that are geared toward 1/4 mile applications?

Here is a different one of those calcs for you but I'm pretty sure its gonna give you the same results as the one Mike put up.
