Hi guys!
I'm usualy in the 5.0 section with my turbostang, so I know a lot more about the windsor block than any of the mod stuff.

Anyways, i just bought a 2000 F150 with a 5.4 triton and it looks a lot like the 4.6 you guys run. This "intake plenum" looks about the same, and i'm assuming the TB is the same. I was wondering if you guys could give me some generic pics of your engine bay or something so i could compare, and if anyone knows the differences. It's a 2v 5.4, not the 4v.

I'm just looking to open this big motor up. Thinking exhaust, intake manifold, intake plenum, 70mm or better TB, and a cold air to the fender. Also, upgrade the coil on plug system, but i've never seen that before, like i said, all windsor here!

Thanks for the help guys, it's very much appreciated.
Next stop, looking around the F150 forums.

Oh, all monies will hopefully be came by scrapping metal, woo hoo!!!

Yep they are pretty darn similar. Those heads will interchange with a 4.6 and vice versa.

Not much in the way of intake manifolds for 4.6's, probaly be hard pressed to find a reasonable one for a 5.4.

As far as upgrading the coil on plug system, both Accell and MSD make aftermarket coil packs that put out more spark than stock, but they wont add much grunt to it unless the stock ones are on their way out. You will come to hate this ignition system, lol. Its expensive... but easy as crap to work on.

Thanks! Great response time!!!
Yeah, i'm thinking I already hate the ignition, so i'll probably leave it until something goes wrong with it.

Heads will change? Thats cool, don't know if i'll go that deep into it.
What about the intake plenum and TB? They the same?
