I'm trying to decide what I'd rather throw some money at for the winter. You all know the car, and I'm really kind of torn on which way to go.
If I keep the 2v, I'll probably replace the heads and cams and call it done. It'll probably make somewhere in the 400 fwhp neighborhood for power. I may or may not do the IDA 40 weber carb swap, depends on money.
I have a 4 cyl turbo engine out of an 86 SVO. I'd wanna run the Volvo 240 head (because I think it looks cool), and I'll build the motor to make the same HP as above, problem is....there is absolutely NO ROOM for an intercooler. I'd have to use water/meth as the only solution for that.
Obviously there will be a significant amount of fabrication w/ "plan B", and for me certainly not a problem.
I just don't want to go off in some goofy-assed direction and after spending all the time and money to convert it, have a bunch of people walk away scratching their heads thinking "Now why the hell did he do THAT?"
